The Government simplifies entry rules for participants in the International Collegiate Programming Contest

Participants in the finals of the International
Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) will enter Russia using a simplified visa
procedure. The relevant directive was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail
Mishustin.

The ICPC participants, organisers and guests will
enter Russia through border checkpoints in accordance with special lists
prepared by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media.
That is, they will not be required to obtain a Russian visa.

This measure will help to create favourable conditions
for holding the prestigious international contest.

The ICPC finals will take place at Moscow’s Manezh
Central Exhibition Hall on 1-6 October 2021. The contest will bring together
about 1,500 people from 70 countries. One of the main subjects of the event
will be Open Source projects.

The organising committee to hold the ICPC was
established in July 2021. It is chaired by Mikhail Mishustin, with Deputy Prime
Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko serving as the deputy head of the organising committee.
