Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova chaired a meeting of the emergency response centre for preventing the import and spread of the new coronavirus infection in the Russian Federation.
The emergency response centre supported a proposal by Rospotrebnadzor
to update the following criteria and indicators for assessing the
epidemiological situation in foreign states with a view to restoring air and
railway travel:
– The disease rate must not exceed 40 cases per 100,000
people in the last seven days;
– The weekly average effective reproductive number (Rt)
must be equal to 1 or below;
– The 14-day average increase in the number of cases must
not exceed 1 percent;
– The average seven-day testing level per 100,000
people must not be below 200.
Following the discussion and considering the
epidemiological situation in various countries, the emergency response centre has
decided to resume international air flights on a reciprocal basis on 8 February
2021 with Greece (Moscow-Athens, two flights per week) and Singapore (Moscow-Singapore,
three flights per week). International flights from Astrakhan, Yekaterinburg,
Irkutsk, Makhachkala, Mineralnye Vody, Nizhny Novgorod, Perm and Khabarovsk
will also be resumed on 8 February.
In addition, the centre has decided to increase the
number of regular flights from Russian airports to Egypt on 8 February. This
applies to the airports from which international flights have been resumed. No
more than one flight per week is allowed from each airport.
