Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova chaired a meeting of the emergency response centre in charge of the prevention of import and spread of the novel coronavirus in the Russian Federation.
Following the
discussion and given the epidemiological situation in certain countries, those
taking part in the meeting decided to resume mutual air services with the
following countries, as of 27 January 2021:
– Vietnam
(Moscow – Hanoi, twice a week);
– India (Moscow
– New Delhi, twice a week);
– Finland
(Moscow – Helsinki, twice and week, and St Petersburg – Helsinki, twice a
week);
– Qatar (Moscow
– Doha, three times a week).
The decision was based on the previously developed
criteria to reciprocally resume air services with foreign countries: 40 new
coronavirus cases within 14 days per 100,000 people; no more than a 1 percent
daily increase of new cases within 14 days, and also a novel coronavirus
infection basic reproduction number of no more than 1 within seven days.
In addition to
this, it was decided to increase the number of regular flights between Moscow
and Cairo to five a week.
The emergency
response centre reminds people to take care of their health, limit their visits
to public places, use PPE and sanitisers as well as to remain at home and seek medical
assistance if they should feel unwell.
