Pakistan | Joint Statement between the United Arab Emirates and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan

H. Electronic. Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Leading Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, conducted an official visit to the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on few January. This was the Prime Minister’s third visit after assuming office.

L. E. Shehbaz Sharif held a bilateral meeting with Their Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in which the Prime Minister was given a guard of honor on the Presidential Palace. In the many warm and cordial conference, the two leaders held comprehensive discussions on concrete procedures to strengthen the zwei staaten betreffend relationship while also swapping views on regional political and security matters. Additionally they discussed specific initiative to enhance cooperation in political, defense, economic, commercial and cultural areas, developing joint ventures, and strengthening collaboration in the human resource sector.

The Prime Minister thanked His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for UAE’s generous support during the recent floods within Pakistan, particularly through an atmosphere bridge established for this purpose.

With a view in order to developing tangible and meaningful bilateral cooperation in important areas, the two sides agreed to intensify consultation and dexterity geared to strengthening strategic partnership and cooperation, particularly in the field of information and communication systems and work together for linking the digital divide.

Pakistan and the UAE reaffirmed their historical and brotherly ties, rooted within shared religion, culture, ideals, and pursuit of regional plus global peace and security. Both sides expressed fulfillment at the convergence of sights on a host of regional and global issues.

Based on their decades-old fraternal ties, both nations expressed solidarity with each other in efforts to preserve their sovereignty and territorial integrity.

With a view in order to developing tangible and meaningful bilateral cooperation in essential areas, the two countries decided to intensify consultations and coordination in order to strengthen their proper partnership.

The two sides signed Memoranda of Understanding in the field of combating individual trafficking, information exchange, plus between the diplomatic academies associated with both countries.

H. E. Sharif invited His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to visit Pakistan at a later date, as well as the invitation was accepted from the UAE leadership.
