A Trade delegation comprising representatives of 28 companies from Sialkot Chamber of Business and Industry (SCCI) Pakistan visited Kuwait from 8-9 February 2023 to display their products and hold business to business (B2B) conferences.
The two day exhibition of Pakistani items was held in the Exhibition Corridor of Kuwait Chamber associated with Commerce and Industry (KCCI). The exhibition showcased top quality Pakistani products in the types of: (i) Sports Goods; (ii) Surgical Instruments; (iii) Rice; (iv) Leather Products; (v) Gloves & Safety Gears and (vi) Bee Keeping Gears.
The particular visit commenced with an formal meeting held between the delegations of the two Chambers; wherein Mr. Fahad Yaqoob Ing Jouan, Vice Chairman from the Board of Directors of KCCI and Mr. Wahub Jahangir, Senior Vice Chief executive SCCI led their respective delegations.
In the welcoming remarks, Mr. Al Jouan appreciated the historic cordial ties between the sisterly states of Kuwait and Pakistan. He emphasised that this volume of trade didn’t commensurate with the true potential which exist between the two countries plus reiterated that the economic cooperation could be expanded in wide variety areas of cooperation. He also expressed the hope that this exhibition as well as the delegation degree talks would help in additional increasing commercial ties among Pakistani and Kuwaiti businesses.
Mr. Wahub Jahangir, the head of Pakistani delegation, thanked the Kuwaiti authorities for the warm hospitality and expressed his satisfaction at the arrangements made for the meetings and the exhibition.
Ambassador Malik Muhammad Farooq also conveyed their gratitude to KCCI, especially Mr. Fahad Yaqoob Ing Jouan and his team to make this visit a successful go to. He commended the quality of products displayed by the visiting company delegation. The Ambassador also appreciated the facilitation plus cooperation by the Ministry associated with Foreign Affairs Kuwait.
The meeting determined with the signing of an MoU between KCCI and SCCI, which aimed at strengthening zwei staaten betreffend economic cooperation between the 2 Chambers.
The particular two-day exhibition caught attention of the visiting Kuwaiti plus local business community.
