The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent a congratulatory message to Raul Castro Ruz on April 19.
The message reads as follows:
I extend my heartfelt and warm congratulations to you, respected Comrade Raul Castro Ruz, on successful holding of the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba (CPC).
I am very pleased to see that the 8th Congress of the CPC, under your energetic guidance, provided a sure guarantee for carrying forward the socialist cause of Cuba generation after generation, remaining true to the idea of Comrade Fidel Castro Ruz.
The Cuban people, under the correct guidance of the CPC headed by you, respected Comrade Raul Castro Ruz, have safeguarded the sovereignty and dignity of their country and advanced steadily along the road of socialism in the face of trials and tempests of history.
I express my conviction that the CPC and the Cuban people would invariably preserve the invaluable legacies of the revolution bequeathed by the revolutionaries of the elder generations and gain big successes in the struggle for building a prosperous socialist state, rallied closer around Comrade Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, First Secretary of the CPC Central Committee.
I express my firm will to add shine to the comradely and fraternal relations of friendship and cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries forged and verified in the struggle for carrying out the common cause.
