Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, received a message of greetings from H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party and President of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, on October 8.
The message reads as follows:
Esteemed Comrade Kim Jong Un,
I extend my warm congratulations and best wishes to you and to the Central Committee of the WPK, all the Party members and the fraternal Korean people on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the WPK (October 10, 1945 – October 10, 2021).
We are pleased and proud over the fact that the DPRK and the fraternal Korean people have achieved great successes during the past 76 years in safeguarding the political stability, strengthening the national defence and security, developing the economy and improving the people’s livelihood by undertaking a struggle to firmly defend the gains of the revolution, as well as in further raising the status and role of the country on the regional and international stages by expanding and developing the external relations under the courageous guidance of the WPK led by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, great preceding leaders of the Korean people, and Comrade Kim Jong Un, successor to the revolutionary cause.
We are convinced that the Party, state and people of the DPRK will continue to achieve great successes in defending the country and carrying out the cause of building a powerful socialist country and the cause of peaceful national reunification by implementing the decisions set forth at the 8th Party Congress under the leadership of the WPK.
On this meaningful occasion, I wish Comrade Kim Jong Un good health, happiness and great success in accomplishing the noble cause.
I hope that the friendly and cooperative relations having long traditions between the two Parties, two states and the peoples of two countries will steadily grow stronger to meet the interests of the peoples of the two countries, and to promote regional and global peace, friendship, cooperation and development.
