Kim Jong Un, President of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), received a message of congratulations from V. Putin, President of the Russian Federation, on September 9.
The message reads as follows:
Respected Your Excellency Kim Jong Un,
I extend my sincere congratulations to you on the occasion of the 73rd founding anniversary of the DPRK.
The relations between the two states are based on the good traditions of friendship and mutual respect.
I am convinced that we will further develop constructive bilateral dialogue and cooperation in various aspects by our concerted efforts.
It would doubtless meet the interests of the two peoples and contribute to promoting security and stability on the Korean peninsula and the whole region of northeast Asia.
I wish you good health and success. I also wish all the people of the DPRK happiness and well-being.
