Celebrations were held in different countries to mark the 24th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il‘s election as General Secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) and the 76th founding anniversary of the WPK.
Celebration meetings took place in Romania and Bulgaria, seminars in Bangladesh and Kyrgyzstan and a film show in Nigeria.
The Korean film “Pyongyang Today” was screened at the film show.
Vasile Orleanu, Chairman of the Supreme Council of the National Socialist Party of Romania, said that the WPK has been built into the guiding force of the Korean society and into an invincible party under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
He stressed that respected Comrade Kim Jong Un has further strengthened the WPK into the Party of the leader which forms a harmonious whole with the popular masses by carrying forward the Party-building idea and exploits of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il.
Lyudmil Kostadinov, Chief of the Bulgarian Group for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism, Kaben Taskov, its Secretary General, and other speakers highly praised the Party-building exploits of Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un.
A. Usupbayev, Chairman of the Central Council of the People Unity-“Kyrgys El” Republican Political Party of Kyrgyzstan, noted that the history of the WPK is a brilliant one during which it has vigorously led the revolution and construction along the road of victory and glory, holding in high esteem the prominent and outstanding leaders.
