STATE SECRETARY N. ANKHBAYAR AND U.S. DEPUTY SECRETARY OF STATE KURT M. CAMPBELL HELD OFFICIAL TALKS – Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia

In the framework of the visit, State Secretary Ankhbayar Nyamdorj and Deputy Secretary Kurt Campbell held official talks on March 22, 2024, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. During the talks, the two sides reaffirmed their willingness to strengthen the Strategic Third Neighbor Partnership between Mongolia and the United States, elevating it to a new level and expanding relations and cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.Deputy Secretary Campbell thanked the Mongolian side for the warm welcome and, as a person who knows Mongolia well, expressed his pleasure in visiting again as part of his first overseas trip since assuming office.After the talks, State Secretary Ankhbayar and Deputy Secretary Campbell addressed the press and answered questions.Dr. Kurt M. Campbell, Deputy Secretary of State of the United States of America, is visiting Mongolia on March 21-22, 2024.The two sides held a detailed discussion and information exchange on the implementation of the agreed points during Mongolian Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene’s official visit to the United States in August 2023 and the 16th Annual Bilateral Consultations and the 2nd Strategic Dialogue between the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the U.S. Department of State held in December 2023. The sides also emphasized the significance of close collaboration for fully implementing the Economic Cooperation Roadmap for the Strategic Third Neighbor Partnership, an important tool to enrich bilateral relations with more economic content.
