SHORT-TERM EXEMPTION FROM VISA SPECIFICATIONS FOR CITIZENS OF SOME COUNTRIES TO VISIT MONGOLIA

By exempting the citizens of the above 34 countries from visa requirements, it will eventually give a clear impetus to the development of the tourism industry, the recovery of the economic climate, and the continuation of the conversation to facilitate the traveling conditions of the Mongolian nationals. In connection with the decision from the Government of Mongolia in order to declare 2023-2025 as the “Years to visit Mongolia” , the Cabinet has made a decision to temporarily exempt from visa requirements for that nationals of the following thirty four countries, who are traveling to Mongolia for tourism purposes. Including 32 developed European countries, Australia, and New Zealand, which usually lead the number of tourists visiting Mongolia. The decision, aimed to attract foreign tourists and facilitate journey conditions, was made on the meeting of the Cabinet upon 4 th of January, 2023 and will be effective until the finish of 2025. With the acceptance of this decision, the number of visa-free travel countries to Mongolia will be increased by thirty-four to sixty-one.
