Associates of the Government of Mongolia participated in the COP fifteen of Convention on Biodiversity

The High-Level Segment conference was opened by Mr. Huang Runqiu, the Minister of Ecology and Atmosphere of China followed by the video message from Mr. Xi Jinping, the President of China. The high-level representatives— President of the 77 ^th Program of the UN General Set up Csaba Korosi, Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations Amina M. Mohammed, Minister of Atmosphere and Climate Change of Canada the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Premier of Quebec the Honourable Francois Legault and Executive Secretary of the Secretariat of the Convention upon Biological Diversity Elizabeth M. Mrema— also delivered messages respectively. Abordnung of the Government of Mongolia led by Mr. Ariunbold Yadmaa, Ambassador of Mongolia to Canada and Mr. Batkhuu Nyam-Osor, the Environment plus Green development policy advisor to the President of Mongolia participated in the High-Level Segment of the Biological Diversity Meeting COP15 held from fifteen to 17 December 2022 in Montreal, Canada. Throughout the COP 15, Parties towards the Convention continue the discussions held in Kunming, Tiongkok in 2021 and emphasized the sustainable financing in support of achieving the goal of conserving 30 % of the world’s biodiversity by 2030. Upon 16 December, the Ministry of Environment and Tourism co-hosted a side-event upon biodiversity and climate along with “The Natural Conservancy” which usually focused on discussing the issues of Mongolia’s untouched nature and ecosystem. Mr. Batkhuu Nyam-Osor, Advisor to the President associated with Mongolia on Environment and Green development policy fulfilled with Mr. Dirk Brinkman, President of the Canadian “Brinkman Reforestation” company and changed views on technical support and cooperation for the execution of the “One billion Tree” initiative.
