Ambassador associated with Mongolia to the Holy See H. E. Ms. Gerelmaa Davaasuren presented her qualifications to His Holiness Pope Francis on 15 December 2022. The sides discussed associated with continuing research work on the particular search for historical facts plus sources related to the history of Mongolia in the archives plus libraries of the Vatican, to support the capacity-building of young professionals in the health, education and learning and humanitarian fields, and also cooperation on global problems such as climate change, poverty and humanitarian cooperation. Ambassador D. Gerelmaa was also received by the Secretary of Condition of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, the Replacement for the Secretariat of Condition, Archbishop Edgar Peña Parra and the Secretary for Relationships with States, Archbishop Paul R. Gallagher. During the meeting, the Ambassador stressed that although this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia as well as the Holy See, the each states have long-standing traditional relations that date back towards the 13th century.
