The Moldo-Belarusian cooperation discussed by the foreign ministers of the two states

7th of July 2020, Chișinău – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Țulea had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Makei.

The interlocutors welcomed the continued development of bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including actions aimed at increasing trade.

Reiterating the importance of valorisation of the existing potential for collaboration, the two ministers referred to some actions to be taken in the near future. In particular, the interest in organising the regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation was noted and the common readiness for active interaction on the line of the foreign ministries of Chișinău and Minsk was confirmed.

In the context of the efforts of the authorities of the two countries to combat the extremely negative effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, officials mentioned the importance of mutual support in order to overcome this global challenge.
