Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu received a visit from the Ambassador of Romania, Daniel Ioniță

August 9, 2021, Chișinău – The Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, received the Ambassador of Romania to the Republic of Moldova, Daniel Ioniță, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, deepen and expand the Strategic Partnership for European Integration of the Republic of Moldova and further develop the special privileged Moldovan-Romanian relations. In this context, the officials also referred to the preparations in the near future for a working visit to Bucharest.

At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the implementation of projects in the field of energy infrastructure, transport and communications, advancing joint initiatives in the social, cultural and educational spheres are essential in promoting an active foreign policy with Romania in the context of marking 30 years of diplomatic relations.
