September 15, 2021, Chișinău – Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu had a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Ivan Korčok, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic. Officials discussed the new directions for cooperation with the European Union: environment, digital transformation, resilience and security.
“I was glad to see that the Republic of Moldova can count on the assistance and support of Slovakia.” – mentioned the Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu.
The two officials appreciated the excellent bilateral relationship and agreed to intensify trade and economic cooperation, in an active manner and with concrete results for citizens.
The Moldovan Foreign Minister expressed gratitude for the donation of 10,000 PCR tests, which arrived in Chișinău today, on the occasion of the visit of the Slovak Minister.
Foreign Ministers Nicu Popescu and Ivan Korčok also exchanged views on regional security and Transnistrian settlement.
