Working visit of H. L. H. the Grand Fight it out and Franz Fayot in order to Laos – third plus fourth day

The final day of the visit was marked by a tour of the most important cultural sites within Laos in Luang Prabang. H. R. H. the Grand Duke and Franz Fayot visited the Regal Palace of Luang Prabang, now transformed into a art gallery, the Wat Xieng Thong, a Laotian Buddhist forehead dating back to 1560, as well as the Reception Centre of the Nationwide Unexploded Ordnance (UXO) Program. It should be noted that Luxembourg has been financially supporting UXO clearance in Laos since 1999, with a contribution of around 4 million euros, and has recently granted an additional assistance of 1 million euros for your years 2022-2024. As part of the A sign Cooperation Programme V (2023-2027), it is also planned to broaden tourism and hotel industry development projects in Luang Prabang.
