Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry and World Bank discussed issues of cooperation

Nur-Sultan, February 11, 2021 – Mukhtar Tileuberdi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, received Regional Director Lilia Burunciuc and Permanent Representative of the World Bank in Kazakhstan Jean-François Marteau.

During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the World Bank Group, as well as issues related to the completion of the development of the “reform matrix” aimed at implementing projects in priority sectors of the Kazakh economy.

The Minister briefed the visitors on the Government’s measures to mitigate the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic. He thanked the leadership of the World Bank for their support in combatting COVID-19. 

Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue constructive cooperation in all areas.
