State Minister receives Courtesy Contact from Norwegian Ambassador to

Caption: State Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich), Senator the Honourable Leslie Campbell received a Courtesy Call from Norwegian Ambassador to Jamaica, Her Excellency Beate StirØ on Wednesday, November 30. During the discussion, the Minister indicated Jamaica’s interest in expanding educational plus training cooperation with Norwegian, notably with respect to the Caribbean Maritime University (CMU). He also thanked the Ambassador on her country’s technical assistance in offering scholarships to Jamaican students.
With respect to trade, the State Minister noted that foods, particularly saltfish are Jamaica’s major imports from Norwegian.
They also spoke about issues pertaining to the Blue Justice Initiative, candidatures as well as plastic-type pollution in ocean.
