Shri V. Muraleedharan, the minister of state for foreign affairs, visited the United Arab Emirates (January 19–21, 2023)

Shri V. Muraleedharan, the minister of state for external affairs and parliamentary affairs, will travel to the United Arab Emirates between January 19 and 21, 2023. MoS will meet with UAE Ministers and a sizable portion of the Indian community in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and other UAE Emirates during the visit. Engagements with Indian businesspeople, professionals, educators, and students will be part of this. MoS will also communicate with UAE social leaders and blue-collar Indian workers.

In accordance with their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, India and the UAE have maintained close coordination. Given that India and the UAE have assumed control of the G20 and COP28 presidencies, this year will be special for both countries. Dr. S. Jaishankar, the minister of foreign affairs, traveled to the UAE in December 2022, and H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited India in November. On January 13, 2023, India hosted the Voice of Global South Summit, which included the UAE Foreign Minister.
