On the sidelines of today’s 17th Pravasi Bhartiya Divas (PBD) in Indore, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi met with H. E. Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, President of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana. The Chief Guest at the 17th PBD is President Irfaan Ali, who will be in India on official business from January 8 to January 14, 2023.
The cooperation in energy, infrastructure development, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, technology and innovation, and defense cooperation were just a few of the topics covered in-depth by the two leaders. Both leaders agreed to strengthen the friendships that had existed between the people of Guyana and India for 180 years.
On January 10, 2023, President Irfaan Ali will meet with President Smt. Droupadi Murmu and have bilateral discussions. He will also attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award Ceremony. On January 11, he will also take part in the 2023 Global Investors Summit in Indore.
President Ali will travel to Delhi, Kanpur, Bangalore, and Mumbai in addition to Indore.
