- The eighteenth session of the India-RussiaInter-Governmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation(IRIGC-TEC) will be held on 15 October 2012. The IRIGC-TEC will be co-chaired by the External Affairs Minister, Shri S.M. Krishna and the DeputyPrime Ministerof the Russian Federation Mr. Dmitry Rogozin.
- The IRIGC-TECisthe apex forum for bilateral economic cooperation between India and the Russian Federation. It is a vital pillar of the special and privileged partnership between India and Russia. It includes a wide spectrum of representatives from various Ministries and agencies and integrates inputs from six Working Groups :economic and trade cooperation;energy and energy efficiency;tourism and culture;science and technology; information technology;and modernization and industrial cooperation.
- Mr. Rogozin, during his visit will have restricted talks with the External Affairs Minister andcall on the PrimeMinister, besides co-chairing with Shri Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce and Industry, the India-Russia Forum o Trade and Investments.
