Foreign Secretary to Travel to Tokyo

Foreign Secretary Smt. Sujatha Singh will travel to Tokyo on April 23-26, 2014. She will hold consultations with Japanese Vice Foreign Minister Akitaka Saiki on bilateral, regional and international issues.

Apart from meetings in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Secretary will also hold discussions with counterparts in the Japanese Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Japan International Cooperation Agency. She will address a group of academicians and scholars and meet select Japanese women leaders.

Foreign Secretary’s visit to Japan will focus on the implementation of ideas and projects decided at the Annual Summits and maintain the momentum of the India-Japan Strategic and Global Partnership.
