Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Honourable Hugh Hilton Todd, yesterday received a Courtesy call from His Excellency Yutuka Matsubara, Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Cooperative Republic of Guyana.

Minister Todd noted that Japan remains a meaningful partner to Guyana and the Government of Guyana looks forward to a continued partnership, especially in the areas of trade and the development of human capital. In this regard, the Ambassador committed to strengthening relations between Guyana and Japan at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.
