The Honourable Hugh Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation yesterday participated in the LVIII Ordinary Meeting of the MERCOSUR Common Market Council which was held virtually.
Minister Todd during his address conveyed commendations on the achievements of MERCOSUR, and added that Guyana stands ready to boost trade and investment links with countries of MERCOSUR.
Minister Todd also alluded to the need for increased collaboration among countries of MERCOSUR in combating COVID-19.
Brazil will assume the Pro Tempore Presidency of MERCOSUR on Argentina’s conclusion of tenure.
