ICJ to deliver judgment on question of jurisdiction in Guyana v. Venezuela case

The International Court of Justice has formally notified the Government of Guyana that the Judgement of the Court on the question of Jurisdiction in the case Guyana v. Venezuela will be read in open court on Friday, December 18, 2020, at 3:00 pm (The Hague Time) at the Peace Palace.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, representation at the reading will be limited to two per State.

The Government of Guyana will be represented at these hearings by H.E. David Hales, Ambassador of Guyana to Belgium and non-resident Ambassador to the Netherlands and Mr Lloyd Gunraj, First Secretary, Embassy of Guyana, Brussels.
