Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Honourable Hugh Hilton Todd today received a courtesy call from His Excellency Dr. K. J. Srinivasa, High Commissioner of India to Guyana.
During the meeting, High Commissioner Srinivasa updated Minister Todd on cooperation programmes and initiatives between the Government of Guyana and the Government of India. Among the areas discussed were oil and gas, infrastructure, security, health, ICT, agriculture and training.
Guyana and India established diplomatic relations on 26 May 1966, and have since maintained an active bilateral cooperation programme.
