Guyana Participates in the Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2021 and Highlights Women’s Contributions to Guyana’s Low Carbon Economy
At the invitation of the All China Women’s Federation, Her Excellency Anyin Choo, Guyana’s Ambassador to China participated in the 10th Eco Forum Global Conference, which was held in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province during the period July 12-13, 2021. The conference brough together representatives from International Organizations, Governments, businesses, expats and academia among others to deliberate and share experiences on how countries can work together to foster ecological balance and development in the era of global warming under the theme: “Green and Low Carbon Development Fostering a Community of Life for Man and Nature”.
Ambassador Choo during a presentation in the sub-forum on low carbon economy, which focused on women’s contributions to Low Carbon Transition and Green Development, introduced Guyana’s Low Carbon Development Strategy and highlighted areas on Women’s contributions.
