Earlier today, the Honourable Hugh Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation met virtually with Mr. Shawn Sullivan, Managing Director of Government Affairs for Latin America and the Caribbean, Citibank, and team to discuss potential opportunities between Guyana and the institution.
During the meeting Minister Todd highlighted several key sectors of Government requiring investments. The Minister also alluded to the longstanding partnership between Guyana and Citibank as mutually beneficial and one that forms a suitable foundation to advance investment opportunities in Guyana.
Minister Todd also emphasized that Guyana’s developmental agenda is guided by sustainability and high environmental standards as outlined in the Low Carbon Development Strategy (LCDS).
Citibank representatives noted that they have examined the government’s manifesto which provides them with an idea of the developmental trajectory. The team is expected to engage other Government Officials later this week.
