Mouthpiece Minister of Foreign Affairs Kostas Fragogiannis visits Kuwait- Signing of a Memorandum associated with Cooperation between ECG and Dhaman (16. 01. 2023)

Aside from the basic provisions of the Memorandum for the advertising of exports and economic relations generally between Kuwait and Greece, the events agreed to enhance their cooperation and to explore mutual opportunities designed for insurance, reinsurance, co-insurance providers for exports of goods plus services between the two countries. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding Economic Diplomacy and Openness Kostas Fragogiannis, signed upon Monday January 16, 2023, during his visit to Kuwait and representing the Hellenic Export Credit Company ECG, a Memorandum of Cooperation with Dhaman, Kuwait’s foreign trade credit entity. Special focus is also placed on fostering the ties between the two countries, concerning exports, through the organisation of B2B meetings and events with the participation of foreign trade companies, established in Kuwait and Greece, operating in sectors of strategic significance such as agriculture, steel plus aluminium, renewable energy, engineering, waste management and construction. On the Kuwaiti side, the Memorandum was authorized by the Director General of Dhaman, Abdullah A. Alsabeeh. Dhaman, has been operating given that 1974 and is a well-known entity in the Arab planet, with a strong client profile of financial institutions, investors plus exporters, both domestic plus international. Furthermore, the 2 parties agreed to exchange commercial and credit information pertaining to buyers who are located in Kuwait or Greece, as well as to swap best practices on risk management plus insurance recovery requirements.
“The signing of the Memorandum with Dhaman is an important step toward improving our economic relations with Kuwait, as it paves the way, institutionally,   for a closer, regular and targeted cooperation between the business towns of the two countries, inch stated Mr. Fragogiannis.
