Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias’ statement to media before his meeting with Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of Foreign Affairs from the United Arab Emirates, H. H. Sheikh Abdullah Rubbish bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Dubai, 22. 12. 2022)

Right after concluding my Balkan visit, I am in the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai included in the regular contacts with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, H. H. Sheikh Abdullah, as provided meant for in Article 2 from the Agreement I had the reverance to sign with the Emirates, which, I recall, includes a defense assistance clause. The particular United Arab Emirates performs a very important role in the region. In addition, it is a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. They will also host COP28 on the environment next year.
In this regard, there is a great depth of cooperation, considering that we will organize the Ocean Conference 2024. I look forward to another very fruitful exchange of views.
