Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias’ statement to journalists upon arrival at the 18th Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie (Djerba, Tunisia, 19.11.2022)

I am in Djerba, Tunisia, representing Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Summit of the International Organization of La Francophonie. First of all, Greece is here because of its close alliance with France. However, Greek participation in the Organization has a broader perspective; the perspective of multi-level diplomacy, of creating multiple understandings, in an organization with a broad participation of 88 countries, which allows us to broaden our understanding of International Law, of the International Law of the Sea-related issues, but also of cultural issues.
