Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Dendias’ statement to journalists before his meeting with Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, L. H. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan (Dubai, 22. 12. 2022)

After concluding my Balkan tour, I am in the United Arabic Emirates, in Dubai as part of the regular contacts with the Ressortchef (umgangssprachlich) of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, H. H. Sheikh Abdullah, as provided meant for in Article 2 from the Agreement I had the honour to sign with the Emirates, which, I recall, includes a defense assistance clause. The particular United Arab Emirates plays a very important role in the region. Moreover, it is a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council. They are going to also host COP28 around the environment next year.
In this regard, there is a great level of cooperation, considering that we will organize the Ocean Conference 2024. I look forward to one more very fruitful exchange associated with views.
