Announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the dispatch of further humanitarian aid to Türkiye (17.2.2023)

Dispatch of further humanitarian aid to Türkiye’s earthquake-affected areas is currently underway.
Today, Friday, February 17, 2023, additional humanitarian aid arrived at the port of Patras and departed for Pendik in Istanbul.
The shipment includes 4 containers carrying 50 tons of necessities which have been requested by the Turkish authorities, on a priority basis. The humanitarian supplies were collected by municipalities all over Greece and the “All Together, We Can” (Oloi Mazi Boroume) initiative and their transport to the port of Patras was organized by the Central Union of Municipalities of Greece (KEDE) under the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Andreas Katsaniotis, who is in charge of coordinating all actions related to the organization, collection and dispatch of humanitarian aid, attended the ceremony.
