PRESENTATION OF CREDENTIALS BY THE NATION REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UNITED NATIONS PEOPLE FUND (UNFP) DR . WILFRED OCHAN ON FRIDAY 23RD DECEMBER, 2022

Mr. Wilfred Ochan in his remarks applauded the Government of Ghana and Ghana’s Permanent Mission in New York intended for supporting the UNFP within the discharge of its duties, especially in areas of mutual attention. He also commended Ghana for its outstanding leadership work in the ECOWAS Region.
The incoming nation representative of the United Nations Inhabitants Fund, Dr . Wilfred Ochan presented his letters of credence to the Minister with regard to Foreign Affairs and Local Integration, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey on Friday twenty three ^rd December, 2022.
On her part, Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey observed the Government of Ghana’s preparedness to support the UNFP in areas such as sexual and reproductive health and rights, and the implementation of the national populace programme which are in line with the Government’s development plans. She reaffirmed Ghana’s willingness to continue collaborating with the UNFPA to achieve lasting development.
