Ireland – Visit by M. Franck Riester (25-26 November 2021)

M. Franck Riester, Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and Economic Attractiveness, attached to the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, is paying a visit to Ireland on 25 and 26 November.

The Minister Delegate will meet Mr Leo Varadkar, Deputy Prime Minister and Trade Minister. They will discuss the main European trade policy issues, a few weeks ahead of France’s presidency of the Council of the European Union, which begins on 1 January 2022.

Alongside Irish Prime Minister Mr Micheál Martin, Franck Riester will take part in a ceremony presenting the European Business Awards, which reward European entrepreneurship in all sectors.

M. Franck Riester will meet Irish investors in France, to whom he will present the measures recently taken to promote our economy’s competitiveness and attractiveness, particularly the France 2030 investment plan. He will talk to a delegation of French businesses from the French Tech Dublin community, as well as influential figures in Ireland’s economic landscape, at a round table. He will also convene a meeting of Equipe France Business in Ireland, talking to them about support for French businesses abroad, and to several International Volunteers in Business (VIE).

Finally, the Minister Delegate will participate in a reception organized by the Mayor of Limerick, in the presence of local elected representatives and economic players.
