French Minister for Foreign Affairs to visit Finland

On 31 March, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian will arrive in Finland, where he will meet with Minister for Foreign Affairs Pekka Haavisto.

The foreign ministers will discuss topics including Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the European security system and bilateral cooperation between Finland and France.
 
“The changed security situation in Europe requires close cooperation between the European countries. The French Presidency has worked tirelessly towards a solution. We greatly appreciate our active bilateral discussion with France,” said Minister for Foreign Affairs Haavisto.
 
During his visit, Foreign Minister Le Drian will also meet with President of the Republic Sauli Niinistö and Speaker of Parliament Matti Vanhanen.
