Outgoing Australian High Commissioner to Fiji pays Farewell Call to the President Secretary Office of the Prime Minister

Permanent Secretary, Office of the Prime Minister, Mr Yogesh Karan received a farewell call from the outgoing Australian High Commissioner to Fiji, His Excellency John Feakes this afternoon. Mr Karan, on behalf of the Prime Minister, conveyed the Fijian Government and the people of Fiji’s gratitude to Mr Feakes, who has undoubtedly, outdone himself with great achievements during his tenure as High Commissioner to Fiji since 2017. “Vinaka vakalevu High Commissioner Feakes for your outstanding contribution towards Fiji and Australia’s relationship and our Pacific vuvale. Thank you for your exceptional service and commitment. “Fiji wishes you well in your future endeavors.” Under High Commissioner Feakes’ leadership, Fiji and Australia’s relationship soared to new heights. One of the landmark achievements recognised under Mr Feakes’ leadership was the signing of the Vuvale Partnership. Meanwhile, High Commissioner Feakes last week received the Honorary Officer of the Order of Fiji from His Excellency the President, Ratu Wiliame Katonivere for his exceptional service to Fiji. This is only bestowed on those who have rendered distinguished service of a high degree to Fiji and humanity at large.
