Ministry of Foreign Affairs bids farewell to newly appointed High Commissioner to Australia

The Fiji Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Team yesterday, bid farewell to Fiji’s newly appointed High Commissioner to #Australia, Mr David Kolitagane, as he prepares to depart for Australia this weekend. On behalf of the Honourable Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and PS Foreign Affairs, the Deputy Permanent Secretary Foreign Affairs, Mr Esala Nayasi congratulated High Commissioner Kolitagane and conveyed MFA’s best wishes, as he assumes his new role at the Fiji High Commission in Canberra, Australia. Mr Nayasi said having served at leadership roles within the civil service, High Commissioner Kolitagane brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience which, will strengthen engagements at all levels and maximise the value of the enduring collaboration between the two nations. In response High Commissioner Kolitagane thanked Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama and the Fiji Ministry of Foreign Affairs Team for their remarkable support. Mr. Nayasi spoke briefly on the importance of Vuvale Partnership between Fiji and Australia, highlighting its significance to Fiji’s national development and advancement of Pacific’s priorities. He reaffirmed his commitment to do his utmost best to deepen cooperation for the mutual benefit of both nations and the Pacific’s prosperity. Mr Kolitagane attained a distinguished career in the Fijian civil service with valuable contributions and more than 7 years of service in leadership roles across various ministries and most recently he served as the Permanent Secretary for Rural and Maritime Development and Disaster Management.
