INDONESIAN AMBASSADOR PAYS HIS GOODBYE CALL ON PRIME MINISTER RABUKA

Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Fiji, His Excellency Mr. Raden Mohammad Benyamin Scott Carnadi paid a farewell courtesy call today on the Best Minister and Minister just for Foreign Affairs, Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka. On behalf of the Government as well as the people of Fiji, Best Minister Sitiveni Rabuka thanked Ambassador Carnadi for his commitment and service to Fiji and wished your pet well for his long term endeavors. In his role as the new Chair of the Pacific Islands Community forum (PIF), Prime Minister Rabuka spoke on the immediate priorities of the Forum family and Fiji’s commitment to nurture stronger partnerships. Ambassador Carnadi reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthen the robust bilateral relations with Fiji and he’s pleased he had the opportunity to live and serve in Fiji for nearly 5 years. “I will cherish plus take back with me the loving memories, valuable experiences of the distinct rich Fijian tradition and tradition. The beauty, quality of life, and the hospitality of this nation have made my stay in Fiji, a very memorable one. I will be leaving Fiji with wealth of memories that, I am going to always treasure for the rest of my entire life. Fiji and Indonesia established diplomatic relations in 1974. The main element areas of cooperation includes people-to-people links, technical training in a persons resource development in fisheries and agriculture and weather change, women’s empowerment, defense, policing, disaster management and forestry, amongst others. This individual acknowledged that the levels of assistance between Fiji and Philippines has strengthened during Ambassador Carnadi’s term in Fiji. On behalf of the Government and the individuals of Indonesia, Ambassador Carnadi conveyed his heartiest congrats to Prime Minister, Honourable Sitiveni Rabuka, for their leadership of the new coalition Government of the Republic associated with Fiji. “To conclude I wish to wholeheartedly and sincerely thank the Government as well as the people of Fiji for the wonderful friendship, support plus cooperation extended to me while serving in Fiji. Rest assured that Indonesia will definitely always deepen, widen and strengthen its engagements, relations and cooperation with Fiji and everything the Pacific Island countries. Leading Minister Rabuka extended the sincere appreciation of the Government and the people of Fiji to Indonesia for their assistance to our nation, over the years. Indonesia’s assistance to Fiji in the regions of socioeconomic development, humanitarian aid and rebuilding efforts amidst the natural disasters as well as other global challenges, was acknowledged. Primary Minister Rabuka said Fiji looks forward for Indonesia’s continued cooperation to create brand new opportunities for development in Fiji, Pacific and over and above. The particular upgrading of Queen Victoria School (QVS) and the Give arrangement for the Dobuilevu Demonstration Farm Project are key infrastructural projects supported simply by Indonesia.
