FIJI AND TUVALU PARTNERSHIP CONTINUES TO STRENGTHEN

As members of the Pacific family, #Fiji and #Tuvalu will work collectively on advancing issues of mutual interest such as climate change and economic prosperity. This message was articulated at a meeting between Prime Minister Hon. Sitiveni Rabuka and his counterpart from Tuvalu, Prime Minister Hon. Kausea Natano. Prime Minister Rabuka said Fiji will continue to collaborate with Tuvalu on issues of shared interest and priorities. The meeting was held on the margins of the Pacific Island Forum Leaders Special Retreat in Nadi on Thursday and Friday, this week. He expressed sincere gratitude to Prime Minister Rabuka for his leadership to build regional solidarity.
Prime Minister Natano said as members of the Pacific family, Fiji-Tuvalu share important collaboration in economic cooperation, climate change and oceans conservation to mention a few.He conveyed his sincere appreciation for Tuvalu’s partnership with Fiji on advocating issues of great importance to our Pacific family.In response, Prime Minister Natano said he was grateful for the opportunity to meet Prime Minister Rabuka and discuss the areas of mutual cooperation between the two nations.It provided an opportunity for the two leaders to reflect on the existing areas of cooperation and prospects for future collaboration.
