Dublin, January 31, 2021. The Cuban Ambassador to Ireland, Hugo René Ramos Milanés participated as a guest in the program “Europe for Cuba” that is broadcast every Sunday on its YouTube and Facebook channels. This edition was dedicated to paying tribute to José Martí on the 168th anniversary of his birth, thus adding to the numerous activities held in Europe for that purpose.
The Cuban Ambassador in his appearance highlighted the mark of Martí from the Cuban independence process, the triumph of the Revolution and the socialist construction to the present day.
The way in which the Cuban Revolution has materialized Martí’s ideas was also highlighted, especially in relation to the construction of a new Republic “WITH EVERYONE AND FOR THE GOOD OF EVERYONE.”
During the program, took special relevance the reflection on the validity of the anti-imperialist and Latin Americanist ideas of Martí and his demand for a second and true independence of our continent that endows their nations with full sovereignty over their wealth, freeing themselves from the powerful imperial influence and building broad integration for the benefit of the peoples of the region.
Members of the Movement of Solidarity with Cuba also participated in the program, who gave news of the various activities carried out in various countries in homage to Martí and of solidarity support to the Cuban Revolution.
