Services in Barbados of the Cuban Medical Brigade ¨Henry Reeve¨ to help face the COVID-19 pandemic will be extender for six more months, until October 2021.

The Honorable Jerome X. Walcott, JP., Minister of Foreign Affairs of Barbados, the Cuban Ambassador Sergio Jorge Pastrana and the honorable TteLt.. Col. Jeffrey Bostic, Minister of Health and Welfare of Barbados.

Today in the Presence of Dr. Kenneth George, the Chief Medical Officer of the Ministry of Health and Wellness, and the Barbadian Ambassador to CARICOM, His Excellency David Comissiong, as well as the Director of CARICOM of the Chancery, Dr. Sandra Gittens, the General Director of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Ms. Juliette Bynoe-Sutherland signed the third extension agreement with the Cuban Ambassador, Sergio Jorge Pastrana.

This will guarantee the presence of the Cuban Medical Henry Reeve Brigade in Barbados until October 7,.2021, working in the first line to combat COVID-19 in this sister Caribbean nation.
