Prominent personalities and political and social organizations in Trinidad and Tobago demand the end of the embargo against Cuba in an open letter to Biden.

Port of Spain, August 12, 2021. A group made up of 21 prominent personalities and 12 political and social organizations from Trinidad and Tobago, signed a letter addressed to President Joe Biden, demanding the end of the embargo against Cuba.

David Abdulah, Political Leader of the Movement for Social Justice (MSJ) delivered the document to the US diplomatic headquarters in Port of Spain accompanied by a representation of the signatory social organizations.

Once at the US diplomatic headquarters, they offered statements to the local press, highlighting the content of the letter that demands the end of the economic, commercial and financial embargo against Cuba that hinders the economic prosperity of the Cuban people in the midst of their struggle to counteract the effects of the pandemic.
