Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. February 26, 2021. The Hon. Mr. Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsrai, the new Prime Minister of Mongolia, received today the Ambassador of Cuba, Raúl Delgado Concepción in a meeting where the main aspects of diplomatic relations between the two countries were discussed, which last year 2020 marked 60 years of its establishment. In a cordial atmosphere, the Cuban Ambassador conveyed to Prime Minister Oyun-Erdene the message of congratulations from his Cuban counterpart, Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz and the wishes of success in his endeavors as head of the Mongolian executive.
The Cuban Ambassador summarized the social and political news of Cuba as well as the situation of the pandemic on the island and specified the commitment of the Cuban authorities to produce 100 million doses of Cuban vaccines before the end of 2021 to immunize the entire population and supply these vaccines to other countries that need them. During the meeting, opinions were also exchanged on ways to expand cooperation in trade, economy, foreign relations, law, health, food, agriculture, education, medicine, biotechnology and tourism.
Prime Minister L. Oyun-Erdene for his part expressed his satisfaction with the development of relations and cooperation and asked to convey his greetings to Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz, noting the importance of high-level visits for the bilateral relations. In reference to last year, the Prime Minister recalled in his words the commemoration activities for the 60th Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which strengthened the ties of friendship and cooperation.
