Cuban Ambassador to Kuwait Jose Louis Noroega confirmed that Abdullah’s anti-Coronavirus vaccine, consisting of 3 doses, showed great efficacy in confronting the virus, with a rate of more than 92%.

Noriega mentioned in exclusive statements to the news that the name of the vaccine after Abdullah was inspired by From the play “Abdullah” by the Cuban poet Jose Marti, which he wrote 150 years ago, and its events revolve around the country of Nubia about a young man who sacrificed his life to liberate his land and this character became an icon in Cuban culture.

The Cuban Ambassador revealed his country’s need for millions of syringes to complete the vaccination of the people, adding that the unjust blockade imposed on his country prevents it from moving faster to manage this matter, acknowledging the support of millions of friends who helps Cuba.

He pointed out that the blockade imposed on Cuba for more than 60 years makes it difficult for his country to obtain the necessary supplies from the purchase of syringes and medical supplies needed to achieve faster progress in the vaccination process.

He stated that after the United Nations voted last Wednesday against this embargo by 184 votes to two, and this shows the great solidarity of the international community with his country, Cuba is counting on the support of its friends to confront this crisis urgently.
