Jamaica’s PNPYO in solidarity with Cuba

Kingston, Jamaica, 16 March 2021. Leaders of the People’s National Party Youth Organisation (PNPYO) visited this morning the headquarters of the Embassy of Cuba in Jamaica, and had a pleasant, profound exchange of opinions with H.E Mrs. Inés Fors Fernández, Ambassador of the Greatest Island in the Antilles to this neighbouring Caribbean nation.

After referring to the historical bonds that unite the two Caribbean Islands, the visitors had words of praise for the almost five hundred Cuban health professionals who provide medical assistance in Jamaica, while acknowledging the advances of the Cuban biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries and the latter’s recent efforts for the development of vaccines to combat COVID 19.

PNPYO leaders reiterated their solidarity with Cuba and expressed their opposition to the unjust policy of blockade imposed by the United States on the country.

Visitors included Dexroy Martin and Andre Brown, outgoing and incoming Secretary General, respectively; Jesse James Clarke, Junior Shadow Minister for Health and Wellness, among others.
