Fidel is honored in Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka, November 27, 2021, The tribute to the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, on the V anniversary of his physical departure, was commemorated in Colombo with an activity where members of the Sri Lankan Graduate Association participated in Cuba.

The activity was chaired by the Ambassador of Cuba, Andrés Marcelo González Garrido, who, when speaking, highlighted the internationalist principles and solidarity of the Commander-in-Chief.

For his part, K.R. D. C. Rathnamudali, President of the Sri Lankan Graduates Association highlighted that thanks to Fidel they had been able to achieve higher studies and thus help the development of their country.

Other graduates also spoke, those who recalled personal experiences of encounters with Fidel during his stay in Cuba.

During the activity, a message sent by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) was read, which highlighted the solidarity towards the people of Cuba and its Revolution by the Sri Lanka Graduates Association in Cuba.
