The director of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad of the Foreign Ministry, Ernesto Soberón, said that the extension, automatic and free, of an uninterrupted stay outside the country, beyond 24 months, as well as the condition of residents in the country. territory, will remain in effect until further notice.
The measure that Cuban citizens residing in Cuba, who cannot return due to the pandemic, may exceptionally return with their passport expired and without an extension is also in force.
Soberón assured that the Foreign Ministry will continue to facilitate remote procedures at Cuban consulates and consular offices.
