Executive Vice President of the Finnish Chamber of Commerce holds a pleasant meeting with Charge d’Affaires a.i of Cuba

Helsinki, February 3rd.- Executive Vice President and Director of International Relations of the Finnish Chamber of Commerce, H.E. Mr. Timo Vuori held a pleasant exchange with the Charge d’Affaires a.i of Cuba in this capital, Víctor Manuel Rodríguez Etcheverry, by videoconference.

The Finnish executive described to his Cuban counterpart the operation of the Finnish chamber of commerce system (19 throughout the country), which facilitate trade within and outside the borders of the EU for Finnish companies. Vuori mentioned digitalization, information technology, green economy and education products as Finland’s main exportable items. The Cuban market is of particular interest to Finnish companies, for which reason a virtual meeting was coordinated between the Cuban Chamber of Commerce and the “Finland-Latin America Business Council” that will take place on February 18th.

The Cuban diplomat, for his part, updated the Finnish side on the changes in law that are taking place in the country. He also sent a message from the president of the Cuban Chamber of Commerce, Antonio Carricarte to his Finnish counterpart Juho Romakkaniemi, expressing the will to continue developing the ties between both chambers of commerce, framed in constructive and friendly relations between Finland and Cuba.
